Dr Chris Hallot graduated from the University of Capetown in 1978 with an MBChB and MMed Anatomical Pathology in 1985. Following his internship at Addington Hospital, Durban, Dr Hallot completed 17 months compulsory military service in mission hospitals.
After working in pathology at Frere Hospital in East London, Dr Hallot returned to Pietermaritzburg as a partner in a multi-disciplinary pathology practice. In 2000 Dr Hallot and his family moved to Perth and he was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia.
Dr Hallot is a Member of the International Academy of Pathology, a Member of the Australian Society of Cytopathology and has served on the Medical Association of South Africa Natal Inland Branch as Councillor responsible for organising the Continuing Medical Education annual meeting. His interests include all aspects of Gastro-intestinal pathology, Gynaecological pathology including cytology and he has maintained a broad interest in all aspects of Anatomical pathology and cytopathology.
